Interesting places

Aigüestortes National Park
The Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park is one of fourteen national parks in Spain and the only one in Catalonia. This high-altitude park with its impressive mountain peaks and rich flora and fauna boasts almost 200 lakes and many small rivers that wind their way through the valleys.

Water is the protagonist, in all its forms: rivers, gullies, and waterfalls set against the backdrop of 3,000-metre high summits and a diverse assortment of animal and plant species.

Catalan Romanesque Churches of the Boí Valley
The Catalan Romanesque Churches of the Boí Valley stand out for the high concentration of churches with the same architectural style, clustered in a relatively small area. These churches have stood the test of time thanks to the valley's relatively sheltered location.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2000, the Catalan Romanesque Churches of the Boí Valley comprise the churches of Sant Climent i Santa Maria de Taüll, Sant Joan de Boí, Santa Eulàlia d’Erill la Vall, Sant Feliu de Barruera, la Nativitat de Durro, Santa Maria de Cardet, l’Assumpció de Cóll and the hermitage of Sant Quirc de Durro.
